The firesticks succulent, also known as the “euphorbia Tirucalli” or “sticks on fire” is a very unique, beautiful succulent. The firesticks succulent is very easy to grow and care for.
This succulent is shrubby and has beautiful bright orange, red, yellow, and green colors that really stand out. If this succulent gets a great amount of sunlight then it will be bright red, if it gets little then it will stay orange.
It’s very fast growing and grows like a shrub. You can grow it indoors, as it will definitely grow a lot smaller than outdoors. This succulent isn’t cold hardy, so don’t try to grow it outdoors during the cold winter season.
This one in a 4 inch nursery container.
Plant Care:
Light-Bright direct, indirect
Soil- Fast draining, excellent aeration
Water- Water when top 2-3 inches of soil are dry.
TOXICITY
So, handle it cautiously!
This succulent is toxic/poisonous due to the sap inside. We suggest handling with gloves. You might grab it and touch it, but if this succulent snaps, gets a cut, a hole, etc then it will release white sap. That white snap is poisonous and will harm you if it touches your skin. Don’t touch the white sap, if you do then wash your hands immediately. Do Not rub or get sap in your eyes as it may burn.
